There is no time like the new year to get a fresh start. I know some people dread cleaning out their closets, but I highly recommend it. It’s a great way to start out the new year. Truth be told, I like cleaning out my closet.

The golden rule is if you haven’t worn something for a year, get rid of it. If you have not worn it for a year, you probably won’t ever wear it since you have been through all of the seasons! The best reason to clean out your closet, besides making space for new clothes, is to see what you have. Sometimes you forget something that is at the bottom of the pile. As you go through things, you can get a grasp of what new pieces you can pair with old pieces. If nothing else, you will feel a great sense of organization.
