Most of us are guilty of keeping clothes in our closet long after they should be there! We keep things because we think we might wear them one day. Or there are things you keep because you might fit into them when you lose 10 pounds.

So here is the golden rule of cleaning out your closet: If you have not worn something in one year, get rid of it. That means you have been through all 4 seasons and it never made it out of the house. What is the likelihood that you will wear it a year from now when it’s back in season? Highly unlikely! Sure, there are a few exceptions to this but truly just a few. You will buy new things in the meantime, so give yourself some much needed closet space.

I personally choose to give things I have not worn to either friends who I know will wear them, Goodwill, or Dress For Success. So not only will you create some closet space, you will help a friend or someone less fortunate. You will feel totally refreshed and organized.

Most women I know love to shop, myself included. Generally the impending arrival of Spring makes the urge to shop even greater. Everyone can’t wait to put away their Winter wardrobe and get out the Spring clothes.

For women who want new clothes, jewelry, handbags, or anything else, the question is how to do it on a budget. Might I suggest the Artfulwears.com Basement Sale section to find great bargains. In a tight economy, most women are looking to maximize their wardrobe investment. If you make the right purchases, you can transform your look and have items that last for many years. So here are some tips to making good choices for a long lasting and beautiful wardrobe.

First, buy a few unique pieces that you can wear a number of different ways. Every year, I am always anxious to see what colors are HOT for Spring & Summer. So now that we have seen all the Spring & Summer collections, I would like to let you know that bright, rich saturated colors are in style. Think oranges, pinks, greens, and blues.

Gray continues to be the neutral du jour. Gray is hotter than white, black, and brown. You will see it paired with absolutely every color for Spring and Summer. Keep this in mind as you start your shopping.

Artfulwears is very excited as we await the arrival of AT2! AT2 is a new fashionable green tee shirt line, that is truly one of a kind. They are great blend of natural fibers in great dye ways.

The shirts are made from fabric of Majestic Canada. The fiber is 94%  Lycocell, which is made from tree bark. Trees are NOT cut down for this purpose. Just like the Majestic tees you know and love, these are just as soft and feel great against your skin. Did we mention they are eco-friendly? If you are not aware, to produce one regular cotton tee shirt approximately 100 lbs of insecticides and pesticides. Additionally, organic cotton gets stronger over time.

Henna vegetable dyes are used to create unique patterns and designs on these tees. You will get a colorful tee that you can put under a suit or wear with jeans.
