Everyday I somehow see women with pants that are too short. So I thought I would talk about how long your pants are supposed to be, since it doesn’t seem to be as obvious as I thought. Pants should hit the middle of the heel of your shoes.

So how do you manage to work differet height shoes with your pants? The answer is you need to have your pants hemmed to the height of the shoes you want to wear. Unfortunately, if you want to wear taller or shorter shoes you really need to have another pair of pants.

When pants are too short, they cut the leg of the line, making you look shorter and dumpy. Bring your shoes with you to the tailor when having your pants hemmed. If you plan on drying them, we suggest washing the pants and drying them before you have them altered to avoid shrinking hem lines.
